On the 5th of January, Santa Claus paid a visit to over 300 families with about 1500 children from 37 districts across the country. This Santa Claus was not the one with reindeer, but one who came on four wheels. This was a very rich Santa Claus, whose gifts brought grateful tears to the parents’ eyes because of gratitude and made the children tremble with happiness!
Organized for the second time, the 4X4 Christmas Caravan managed to help the elderly in need, who had been identified and supported by social assistance services, and to brighten the life of children, who have the right to a decent future and normal development.
The charity action was organized at the initiative of the Terra Valahia AO Sports Club and it was joined by both ordinary people and representatives of some companies that, through their generous donations, wanted to help make a Merry Christmas for people in need from 37 districts of the country.
The Linella store chain constantly supports humanitarian actions that contribute to the development of new generations and to alleviating the sufferings caused by old age. Thus, during the 4X4 Christmas Caravan, the Company donated over 5 tons of food to about 300 vulnerable families, single elderly people, children, thus brightening up their Christmas and bringing them joy on the eve of the holidays.
People connected by their passion for 4x4 off-road rides saw a different side of the world, another reality, they saw people with whom fate was not so generous, people who lived in suffering and need and of whom no one thought so far, not even Santa Claus.
On Thursdays and Fridays, hundreds of volunteers chose to spend hours wrapping gifts so that on Saturday, they would set off at dawn and share the joy with the less fortunate ones. Thus, on the morning of 5 January, all the gifts were loaded in over 15 spectacular 4X4 cars, each participant took care that everything had been packed, grouped, organized well and drove to the poor people.
Until late in the evening, Santa’s 4x4 caravan crossed the streets and roads of villages and towns in the country, having a warm-hearted guide in each district, who helped to find the families in need. Many of parents and grandparents in those families shed tears of joy and gratitude for the help they received, and the happiness in the eyes of children was the greatest reward for all participants and for all those who contributed to the 4X4 Christmas Caravan.
The Linella store chain and other companies managed to bring the magic of Christmas to those people, to give them hope and comfort as well as a full meal on the eve of the Holidays.
