In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has brought and will continue bringing challenges and difficulties at the social and economic level, Linella keeps up its commitment to invest in development, thus providing new jobs, hiring new staff for working in its stores.

From the beginning of the year and up to September, five new stores were opened, of which 4 stores in Chisinau:

1. bd. Traian 23/3;
2. bd. Mircea cel Bătrîn 12/2;
3. bd. D. Cantemir 9;
4. str. Ion Creangă 78,

And a new store was opened in Edinet at str. 31 August 1989, 8.

Now more than ever we come close to new communities and provide them with any foodstuff they need near their home, through our format of corner store with a modern space, offering a wide range of affordable products, including own brands and those of local producers to meet the various needs of customers.

During this period, we encourage all our customers to choose local products, launching the campaign “Local Product, with Love from Our Producers”, by which we support local suppliers and develop common solutions and opportunities that ultimately offer the guarantee of quality of Moldovan products for the buyers who are with us every day.

We would like to mention that in all new stores opened we apply the measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. These measures are taken in all Linella stores in the country and include installation of dispensers with disinfectant solution for customers and constant disinfection of the busiest areas and exposed objects (e.g. refrigerated display cases, shopping carts and baskets, conveyor belts and POS devices at checkouts, etc.).

In addition, based on the official recommendations of the authorities, Linella makes a number of recommendations for customers, which are posted online and displayed in stores. Among the most important recommendations are paying by bank card, avoiding crowded areas, touching only the fruits and vegetables the customer wants to buy and keeping the recommended distance from other customers.

At the same time, in order to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Linella calls for customers’ solidarity in order to comply with authorities’ recommendations and individual preventive measures during shopping.

LINELLA will continue to come close to communities in different regions of the country by opening new stores throughout this year, thus supporting local communities by providing jobs and economic development.

The Linella store chain currently includes 105 stores in Chisinau, large cities of the country and major urban centers.
